Acts of Kindness

A couple months ago on this exact day, the 10th, someone had left an anonymous "nice little note" on my car.  The day I received that note I decided that every 10th of every month I would share the same light that I received.  Of course, I try to do a random act of kindness as often as I can.  Here I share some of the acts of kindness I'd like to share in my lifetime.  I know the list will continue to grow.  It's amazing how one small act of kindness can inspire change or impact another person's life.  What are some of your favorite ways to spread kindness?

Put positive sticky notes around town - "Post-it kindness".

Shelter animal adoption fee.  Many shelters have an adoption fee for thier dogs, cats, etc...Leave the correct dollar amount for that particular shelter and ask that they use it for a family that is looking to adopt an animal.

Pay for someone's snack at a vending machine.

Send flowers to a friend.

Donate used clothes.

Donate used books.

Donate time/money to charity.

Be kind to myself when I make a mistake.

Plant a tree.

Leave a big tip.

Make the intention to listen well to everyone you come across today.

Make an introduction.

Buy a small gift for someone "just because".

Babysit for free.

Leave a used book on public transit or at a coffee shop.

Donate your hair.

Let someone go in front of you in line.

Read to the elderly or at a children's hospital.

Hide a $ for a stranger to find.

Start a piggy bank for a cause.  Keep your spare change in a piggy bank and when it's full donate it to a charity or cause of your choice.

Write an inspiring blog post ;)

Here is the note that inspired it all - the one I found on my car.

Understanding who, what, and why you believe in something is a life long journey.  Be kind to yourself.  You may find what once was, was wrong, but that's okay!  You. will. be. ok.  Movement is life - life is change.  When in doubt - just do your best, breathe, and trust the innate wisdom in your heart.

The real kind of beautiful.

"She was beautiful, but not like those girls in the magazines.  She was beautiful for the way she thought.  She was beautiful, for that sparkle in her eyes when she talked about something she loved.  She was beautiful, for her ability to make other people smile even if she was sad.  No, she wasn't beautiful for something as temporary as her looks.

She was beautiful, deep down to her soul."

Can You Love the One Who...

There's one in you who's sweet.

There's one in you who's mean.

Can you love them both?

Can you let them both be seen?

Can you love the one who tries?

And love her when she fails?

Can you love the one who lies?

And love the one who wails?

Can you love your tears?

Can you love your worry?

Can you love your darkest fears?

Can you love your fury?

Can you love indifference?

Love the one who clings?

Can you love the vibrant one?

Love the one who sings?

Can you love your addict?

Can you love your thief?

Can you love your vanity?

Can you love your grief?

Can you love your inner child?

And your body as you age?

Can you love your wild side?

Release her from her cage?

Can you love the one fulfilled?

And the one who's not?

Can you love the one who's chilled?

And who's temper's hot?

Can you love the weakling?

The one who's sometimes sick?

Can you love the warrior?

Who fights through thin & thick?

Can you love your crazy?

Can you love your sane?

Can you love your foolish heart?

Love your scattered brain?

There's one in you who's bored.

And one who's often stressed

Can you love them both at once?

And she who tries her best?

If the answer's "no"

To some of the above

Then can you love the one in you

who's learning how to love?

Positive thoughts, positive words, positive actions.

To the Universe:
"Show us what we need to see, help us say what it can benefit others to hear, help us to live our truth from our hearts and help us to know that truth."

Today I choose...
positive thoughts,
positive words,
positive actions.

These Alex and Ani Bangles are a stylish reminder for me to keep it positive. I love that the company offers eco-friendly positive energy products, that let the wearer express their individuality in an organic spiritual way.  For my first 2 I chose the "A" in the russian gold finish and the oyster because 1. The world IS my oyster - see my bio. 2. They're one of my ABSOLUTELY FAVORITE foods :p 3. I love what they represent: Truth, Rebirth, Purity, Inner Beauty - everyday, every minute, every breath is a new opportunity to live my truth with love, joy, & grace. I can't wait to collect more and have an arm full of beautiful positivity.

Strength in Vulnerability

Wow! It's been a long minute since I've last written on here. Well I'm back! And so happy to be.

A lot has changed,
a lot has not.

I've changed the name of my blog because - I've changed.
I hope you find that something you're looking for.
I hope you find something you never expected.
This may be one of them.
